Major website update

February 1st 2012 our website www.diy-streetview.com has been completely rebuild.

We hope you like it.
In case something is broken or looks funny, please tell.
A screenshot would be nice.

Things to expect for February 2012:

  • More images for the Accessories page.
  • Starting middle of February we will publishing new footage at the Examples page.
  • Recording Service will be available in Q2 2012.
  • More technical info on workflow and panoramas.

I will attend the 3rd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE of CRISIS MAPPERS 14-15 November, 2011 Geneva, Switzerland to introduce to the idea of DIY-streetviews. There will be a working DIY-streetview rig mounted to a backpack. Special features:
  • Easy operation.
  • Folds into backpack for easy transportation e.g. in a plane.
  • Styrofoam packaging for protection during transportation.
  • Runs for days on battery power.
  • All data saved to small and lightweight SD cards.
